Americans United for Life (AUL) is one of the most established pro-life organizations in the country. Formed in 1971, AUL has become an important voice for abortion opponents, working to protect unborn babies and their rights from abortion.

Critical moments in the organization’s history include its role in opposing abortion rights laws in Texas and Roe v. Wade, as well as its opposition to Obamacare and Planned Parenthood funding. Foster has spent a large portion of her career fighting abortion. She has testified in front of Congress on multiple occasions and has written numerous articles and book chapters on the issue.

AUL focuses on two issues: defining abortion and limiting access to it. Foster believes that abortion should only be legal in cases of rape or if the mother’s life is in danger. She also believes that abortions should be limited to six weeks and that all pregnancies should be accepted, regardless of plan.

While AUL does not shy away from controversial rhetoric, it has successfully achieved its goals over the years. In 2013, for instance, less than 1 percent of all abortions were performed after six weeks gestation; under Foster’s leadership, that number shot up to almost 20 percent. Catherine Glenn Foster was born in 1978 and raised in Wahington, D.C. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in sociology. After graduation, she worked as a social worker for three years before joining the nonprofit sector, where she now works as president of Americans United For Life (AUL).

Foster has dedicated her career to protecting reproductive freedom and defending life. In her role at AUL, she is responsible for leading the organization’s efforts to promote legislation that defends unborn children and their right to life. Foster has also been involved in pro-life activism outside AUL, serving on the board of directors for Save The Children USA and speaking out against abortion.

As president of AUL, Catherine Glenn Foster has significantly contributed to pro-life advocacy and support for unborn children. She advocates for comprehensive healthcare reform that includes access to safe abortion services. She frequently speaks out against Senate Bill 597, a bill restricting access to abortions in Texas. They are responsible for lobbying various government agencies to stop abortion and protect unborn children’s constitutional right to life. The president also serves as the spokesperson for AUFL, and they often make speeches on various issues surrounding abortion.

Catherine Glenn Foster has been president of Americans United for Life since 2007. She is the first woman to lead an anti-abortion organization.

Foster has worked as a lobbyist and political consultant. She served as press secretary to then-Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge (R) from 2001 to 2003. Ridge was the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush.

Foster also worked in the office of U.S Rep. Curt Weldon (R-PA) from 1995 to 1997 and on Rep. Bill Shuster’s (R-PA) staff from 1989 to 1995. Shuster is currently chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and a member of the House Financial Services Committee…

Ally Lichtenberg is a spokeswoman for the anti-abortion organization Americans United For Life. Lichtenberg has appeared on cable news networks to attack Planned Parenthood and defend its parent company, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

In February of this year, news outlets reported that Taylor Hazen, President of Americans United For Life, was stepping down due to health concerns. Lichtenberg was named as Hazen’s replacement.

Lichtenberg has a long history of anti-choice activism. She has appeared on cable news networks to attack Planned Parenthood and defend its parent company, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. During an appearance on Fox News in November of last year, Lichtenberg said that “every single penny” earned by Planned Parenthood should go towards “viagra for guys” because the women’s health organization provides abortions.

Lichtenberg is affiliated with the anti-choice think tank American Principles in Action (APA). According to its website, APA “offers pro-life advocates access to top policymakers and opinion leaders in Washington.” Lichtenberg has served as a spokesperson for APA and appears on its website as a contributor.
