Today, Celina Powell was given a two-year prison term for breaking the terms of her probation.
She gained notoriety as a notorious rap enthusiast and received her present sentence after being found in possession of a copy of Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV earlier this year. The 27-year-old rapper has long been a devoted follower of the style; in fact, when she initially gained notoriety online, she went under the stage name “Lil Cease.”
Celina Powell admitted to violating her probation, and on February 10th, 2012, she will begin serving her term.
Celina Powell spent a month in jail for violating her probation twice in two years before being released on October 4th.
She served three months in prison for a related offence in 2008.
People who know the former rap aficionado noted that although she is working on her recovery, she will probably end up back in jail at some point for breaking the terms of her probation.
After buying Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, the erstwhile rap enthusiast who liked the second half of the 2000s was sentenced to 60 days in jail. She insisted that it was an innocent error and even admitted that she hadn’t even listened to the CD, only deciding in an incredible moment that day at the record shop, “I’ll take all the C-4 I can get.”
Celina Powell is genuinely sorry, according to Shawn Randon, her attorney. She has previously expressed her regret to her family and friends.
In May, Celina Powell celebrated her birthday while incarcerated, allowing her friends to surprise her with presents. She was also permitted one call per week.
The 27-year-old musician, who is a frequent user of Twitter, has frequently tweeted about regretting the incident and even stated that she hopes to tour Europe after she is released from prison.
She explained that before she could plan the tour and get out of jail, she would need to go on tour with her mates from a local rap group.
Celina Powell was well aware that releasing an album with a lot of explicit lyrics and material could lead to an accusation of obscenity.
At the time, she was advised not to purchase or listen to any music with sexually explicit lyrics, regardless of how unique the musician might be.
I’m aware of this, Powell replied.
“I probably need to have exercised more caution.”
The formerly avid rap reader also said that she frequently perused R&B/hip-hop publications and music websites on her computer.
She said that she was unaware that buying a Carter IV would cause problems.
Celina Powell apologised to her family and friends who were present in court today.
Even now, she was present when her daughter was born.
Powell added, “All I want to do is apologise to everyone that phoned me when I was in jail.”
She even stated how much her pals got to experience that she missed out on.
Shawn Random, her attorney, expressed sadness for the entire incident as well as disappointment in all parties.
The former rap fan entered a guilty plea for violating her probation and was sentenced to two years in prison.

VERDICT
This was a woman who was genuinely committed to her rap scene. I came to the conclusion that she was a rap enthusiast the more I read about her. She listened to the music, enjoyed it, and yearned to fit in with the community. Her goals included creating a music video for her favourite rapper and forming an underground hip-hop crew. She created her own urban clothing line and launched a rap label for upcoming musicians in an effort to establish herself as a part of this community.
