Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have a new baby to share — and you can call him Ennis Howard Plemons. According to the birth certificate, which was obtained by The Blast, Ennis Howard Plemons came into the world on May 3 at 8:16 a.m. at Providence St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica.
As of now, it’s unclear whether the name, which means “Island,” has any special meaning to the couple. The “Spider-Man” star and “Breaking Bad” actor was spotted picking up groceries in the Los Angeles area only a day before their bundle of joy was born — the actress glowing and ready to deliver in paparazzi photos.
Kirsten, who has been historically private about most things in her life, was also extremely private about the pregnancy — as was her beau. She finally confirmed her pregnancy in January when she posed with her baby bump on display in a portrait for Rodarte’s Fall/Winter 2018 campaign. “pregnancy portrait by @benlokke for #RodarteFW18 (and I’m posting this because I’m almost 30 weeks and I haven’t leaked or announced anything but these 2 beautiful creatures inside of me,” she captioned.
While Kirsten has yet to publicly talk about her little bundle of joy, Jesse already has. As soon as the baby was born, he took to his Instagram account to share a photo of him holding his newborn son for the first time, with an emotional caption that read: “Welcome Ennis Howard Plemons!! May your entry into this world be filled with endless wonder and discovery.”
The “Blindspot” actor also recently opened up to People about having baby No. 1 on the way. “I just kind of shut off my brain for a little bit. I told myself, ‘If this doesn’t work out, I’m going to be OK,'” he said when he first learned that his wife was pregnant. “I had a good feeling about it.”
As for what made him so confident in Kirsten’s pregnancy prospects? “She’s not sick, she’s healthy and looks great,” he explained. “It’s been a while since I’ve had to take care of her and clean her room up or anything like that. I’m around her all the time. We’re in a great place.”
Both Kirsten and Jesse are set to “spend some time” in Canada — she’s from Vancouver, while Jesse is from Calgary — for the upcoming holiday season, though it sounds like they won’t be spending much of their days apart. “Canada being one of the best things that have happened to me this year,” he added. “I also love seeing my family. I think everybody should go on vacation at least every 3 or 4 years.” Whether they’ll be back together by the end of the year, however, remains unclear.
Kirsten first opened up about her desire to have kids in 2015, when she said she was ready to be a parent “in the next few years.”
“I’m going through that thing where I think about [having children] all the time,” the actress told Lucky magazine. “But I don’t want to jinx it! When I think of having kids my skin crawls, but in a good way. I’m getting goosebumps thinking about it. It’s the best thing.” Kirsten and Jesse, who got engaged in November 2015, tied the knot in June 2017. After the ceremony, Kirsten said she felt completely different than at any other time in her life. “I felt this feeling I’d never felt before,” she told The New York Times. “I kept saying to my husband, ‘I can’t believe we’re married.’ It was very solidifying.”

The actress admitted that it may seem strange for people who remember her scenes in “Spider-Man,” but she had always wanted this child.
