Glasses were introduced in the 13th century for the very first time. Salvino D’Armate was the first man who invented glasses in about 1285. Romans discovered that glasses could be used to magnify things. They used special glasses to see the small words. As the time passed, engineers and glass workers collaborated to create the best designs according to human needs and trends at that time. Firstly, the glasses were fitted in the wool frames in different shapes. As the technology in glasses changed, new metal, plastic, and synthetic materials came into the market. The life span increases, the quality of vision is enhanced, and now glasses become the part of everyday life. 

 

There are several ways by which one can choose men’s glasses according to their own needs and taste. Some of them are described below. 

1. Fit

Poor fit frames are not suitable for any face shape, no matter the color and shape of the frame. It is a teasing situation when someone continuously pushes back his nose bridge. Glasses should be fit and sit comfortably on your nose. Their temples also had a firm grip on your ears, and nose pads should be fit in your nose sides. You should enjoy your glasses without sacrificing comfort only when you have a fit glass. 

2. Shape of frame

Choose the right frame for your face, and it can only be done when you know about your face autonomy. Every frame has its look and can’t be fit for everyone. If you want to look perfect while wearing glasses, choosing the right glasses is the only option. Mirrors can give a complete look to your face only when you have an ideal shape.

3. Frame material 

The number of frames available in the market with different materials, but metal is the most common. Most frames are made of metal. If you want a lightweight, flexible and robust structure, then choose stainless steel material frame. Titanium is also lightweight material with hypoallergenic. Plastic is the second most common in different colors and styles. These frames are less expensive as compared to others. These frames are also light in weight and have a long life. Wood material frames are also available in the market. These have their grace and history, but this material is less common now. Wood frames are eco-friendly and handcrafted. 

4. Size

Every face has its measurements and dimensions. The width of the frame is an important thing. We care that frame width shouldn’t be beyond the face width. This is important when someone talks about sunglasses.

5. Lenses

Like frames, lenses also come in several materials, and each has its pros and cons. It came with many features like sun light-blocking, UV protection, blue light blocking, etc. Polycarbonate lenses are the most popular as these provide protection as well as can block UV light rays. These lenses are light in weight and used in environments where maximum eye safety is required. Scratch resistance and anti-reflecting lenses are also common in the market. 

6. Nose pads

Nose pads can also affect the comfort and function of glasses. Pads are made up of polycarbonate and silicone materials. Polycarbonate pads are more common as they are oil-resistant, lighter, and thinner.

7. Colour 

The Colour of the frame depends upon the skin tone, clothing, eye color, and hair color. You can also select your frame color according to your personality and style.
