The first single from the album was “I Don’t Need You To,” a cover of the Samantha Mumba ballad “Don’t Need You To (Tell Me I’m Pretty),” written by Diane Warren. When Carnie regrouped with Wendy and Chynna as Wilson Phillips in 2004, the album was ultimately shelved because the single had failed to generate interest.

May 30, 2003 — – Carnie Wilson will pose for a photo in Playboy magazine four years after undergoing the stomach-stapling procedure that allowed her to lose half her weight.

Since Wilson’s weight dropped from a high of more than 300 pounds to 150 pounds, she has been very active on the lecture circuit. She has actually told her story so many times that she is concerned about sounding monotonous. Most likely, people are saying, “So! Okay, she lost the weight; stop talking! Can we discuss something else now?

Now she will appear nude in a photo spread in Playboy magazine. When Wilson, 35, learned the magazine wanted to feature her, she says she was shocked.

She reported, “I received a call from my manager. Are you sitting down? he asked. Playboy desires you. Do you have the right phone number, I asked?

“This is my atonement. She said, “This is for all the women out there who are ashamed. I tell them, “You can do it. You can relax. Let go and experience freedom. And do whatever the hell you want.’ “

She’s too chubby

Carnie Wilson, the daughter of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, made up one-third of the multi-platinum pop group Wilson Phillips. Despite selling millions of records, the band broke up in the early 1990s.

Wilson’s situation appeared dire for a while. She gained more than 300 pounds and was frequently choking while she slept.

She struggled to land a record deal because she was overweight and unemployed. Wilson thinks record executives passed her over because she was too fat and that her weight may have been a problem.

She became angry at the rejections. “They didn’t say, ‘She can’t sing.'”

After that, she had her stomach stapled in August 1999. Her stomach’s capacity to hold food was significantly reduced as a result of the procedure.

Despite losing 150 pounds, she struggled with depression. Wilson then started giving speeches all over the country, encouraging people to eat well and make changes in their lives.

Wilson claims she wants to keep giving lectures but is now prepared to take on new tasks. “I’m really sort of coming out on my own, leaving the cocoon that I was living in, you know, a shell. The Gastric Bypass Girl is not me. I’m Carnie.

Wilson is now prepared to take another significant step. She will release a solo CD and I’m Still Hungry, a new book, in the coming months.

Her debut solo CD will be released soon. Wilson is overjoyed that she got to collaborate with composer Diane Warren, a longtime friend.

She was especially enthused after listening to a song with Warren a second time.

It’s a great song about not requiring the approval of others, she said.

One line, “I don’t need you to tell me I’m pretty to make me feel beautiful,” stands out to Wilson in particular.
