What Is Satta Matka and How Is It Played?

by Sonal Shukla

Satta Matka began around 1950, in India. It is a lottery game that, in its early days, was based on the opening and closing numbers of the New York Cotton Exchange. From the New York Cotton Exchange to the Bombay Cotton Exchange, bets were placed via teleprinters. The New York Cotton Exchange brought this to an end in 1961. Around that time, Ratan Khatri came up with a variation of the game. They would play the same game but with the opening and closing rates of fictitious products. This idea was simple yet effective. The numbers would be written on slips of paper and put into a Matka. Then a particular person would pull a chit and declare the winning numbers.

The game remained very popular, especially around mill towns. Bookies would set up shop around the area. From one variation to another, from one generation to another, Matka remained strong and popular.

For a while, the government tried to outlaw the popular game, but Indian people loved it so much; that they continued to play even if no money wagered. Today the game is played with numbers generated by a computer. You will find Satta Matka at Lottoland India, where you play it online.

Online Gaming

The most popular way to play Satta Matka today is online. It is important that you select a site that is safe and secure. Here are a few things to look for:

The URL bar at the top of your computer screen should have a picture of a lock on the left. The lock symbolizes that the site you are on is secure and encrypted. The vendor you use should be licensed. If you are dealing with a quality vendor, they should be approved by the UK Gambling Commission and Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA). They may hold further licenses, but it is essential that they hold these. These organizations have stringent regulations for companies that deal in online lotteries. This is for your protection. They should be transparent with this information. If you don’t find this to be the case, please go to another vendor.

Insurance

This ties in with the licensing information above. If a company does not have the means and proof of those means to pay their customers when they win their jackpots, they will lose their license. The fixed-odds lottery company must have quality underwriters and sufficient coverage. The insurance company pays the money for large payouts.. Smaller wins may be paid from house funds. Verify that your bets are insured, and the money is readily available. Industry leaders have no issue with this. The money is at their disposal immediately.

You should be able to find out if a company has proper insurance from their corporate websites. If you cannot, you may want to ask yourself why they are not transparent about how they protect their customers and their money.

How do you play?

Every lottery, including Matka, will have an instruction tab on the website. This should be easy to follow and easy to use. If you are uncertain, or maybe you just want to make sure you’re doing everything right, you should be able to reach out to a customer service team member. Quality fixed-odds lottery sites have customer service representatives available via chat. If you have deeper questions, there should be an email address to contact someone.

Read the FAQ page. Many of your concerns are basic, and the answers are already there for you. There may be articles to read, blogs to let you know that you are part of the online lottery community. Discover information on the lives of previous winners. Look for ideas for how to invest or spend your jackpot. Dare to dream and form a plan. People win every day.

“Jhatka Matka” by Lottoland is very much like the original game, but this one is played online. The price of your bet can range from Rs. 200 to Rs. 10,000. This is your choice. In the original, three cards are chosen from a deck of cards. Online the computer dictates the pull.
