He received numerous accolades including being named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in both 2014 and 2015. The team won four consecutive FCS national titles while he played there (2011–2014).

Carson Wentz was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on December 30, 1992. His mother dreamed of him playing football since she was pregnant with him and would often watch games on television with him.
He attended Bismarck Century High School where he became the starting quarterback for the team during his sophomore year. He led the team to a Class AA state championship as a senior in 2010. He played in the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Wentz also competed in basketball and baseball while he attended high school but gave them up to focus on football after his sophomore year.
