The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a National-level technical examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IITs for admission in the MTech course in government colleges all over India. Many public sector companies also recruit candidates in their organisations using the GATE score. GATE 2022 will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur on 5th, 6th, 12th, & 13th February in various centres all over India. 

Whether you are preparing through a coaching institute or by yourself, a well-planned strategy and thorough knowledge of the GATE syllabus and exam pattern is needed to crack this examination whenever you write it. 

The test consists of sixty-five one and two mark questions for a total score of 100 marks. One-third of the mark is deducted in the case of a wrong answer and so attempt only those questions that you are confident about. Guesswork should be avoided.

  • Solving old question papers is necessary- it will help you understand the types of questions and improve your practice. 
  • Solve at least a decade’s worth of question papers on your subject.

  • Practising more mock test papers will help you gain experience to crack real-time examinations effectively.
