Mouni Roy was born 28 September 1985 is an Indian actress, singer, Kathak dancer, and model, who predominantly works in Hindi films and television. She made her television debut in 2007 with the role of Krishna Tulsi in the soap opera Kyun Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus. After starring in several other shows, she found success in 2011 with the show Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev on Life OK, in which she played the role of Sati.
She played the character of Meera in Life OK’s Junoon – Aisi Nafrat To Kaisa Ishq and Zara Nachke Dikha (2008), Pati Patni Aur Woh (2009), Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 (2014), Box Cricket League 2 (2016), And contested in Lip Sing. Fight (2017).

Mouni Roy early life
Mouni Roy was born on 28 September 1985 in a Rajbanshi family in Cooch Behar, West Bengal. His grandfather Shekhar Chandra Roy was a well-known artist of Jatra Theatre. His mother Mukti was a theater artist, and his father Anil Roy was the office superintendent of the Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad. She studied till 12th from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Babarhat, Cooch Behar, and then went to Delhi.
She took up mass communication at Jamia Millia Islamia at the insistence of her parents, but left midway and moved to Mumbai to try her luck in the Bollywood film industry. She finished her Part 1 exam and did not return to Delhi after that. Roy had an interest in acting since childhood and cited actresses Madhubala, Madhuri Dixit, and Waheeda Rehman as his acting idols.

Early in her career, she entered into a relationship with actor Gaurav Chopra, with whom she appeared in Pati Patni Aur Woh. However, the two soon parted ways. Since 2011, Roy was rumored to be dating Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev co-star Mohit Raina, but the press denied their relationship. In 2018, she said that she has severed all her ties with Raina.
