Early Life

Rahul Vaidya was born on 23 September 1987 in Nagpur, India. Rahul did his early education at Hansraj Morarji School. He studied music under Himanshu Manocha and participated in several child talent competitions. Rahul Vaidya did his further studies at Mithibai College. He participated in ‘Indian Idol’ when he was a junior student in the second year of college.

Career

He finished third in the first season of Indian Idol. Although he was elated to win, Vaidya lost in the final round on 18 February 2005. Eight months later, he released his debut album Tera Intezaar. Sajid-Wajid composed the music for their debut album. She also sang “Hello Madam, I’m Your Adam” with Indian Idol runner-up Prajakta Shukre and “God Promise Dil Dola” with Shreya Ghoshal in the Bollywood film Shaadi No. Title song of the play Ek Ladki Anjaani Si.

Vaidya was the anchor of the show “Jhoom India” on Sahara and playback for several films, such as Shaadi No 1, Jigyaasa, Hot Money, and Crazy 4.

He won the title of Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar in a reality singing show on Star Plus. Vaidya returned to the show to delight the top 4 contestants in the grand finale.

In 2013, Vaidya sang “Be Intehaan” (Unplugged) from Race 2. On the occasion of Independence Day, he released a new song ‘Vande Mataram’. He was a contestant in Bigg Boss 14. He was the co-host of the dance show “Aaja Mahi Ve” with Vineet Singh.
