Serena Williams, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic are just a few of the biggest and most contentious athletes to emerge from tennis in the modern era. Morgan Riddle has recently emerged as a dazzling new light on the courts. Never knew she was a thing? Then perhaps you aren’t following the 25-year-old fashion influencer on TikTok, who has over 274,000 followers.
Fair enough, Riddle’s fame was growing alongside that of Taylor Fritz, her boyfriend, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world and No. 12 in America. At the Indian Wells Masters, Fritz, 24, defeated Rafael Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam singles champion.
Riddle was caught off guard as Fritz continued to play through the tournament: “I didn’t pack enough outfits someone call 911,” she tweeted in jest.
Morgan Riddle has been in the news for a while, but her popularity skyrocketed at Wimbledon after she won the hearts of the TV cameras. One tennis fan even tweeted, “They showed Riddle 87 times and David Beckham 4 times.” Since then, she has gained notoriety for her competitive style, drawn attention for her bikini photos, and displayed her glamorous life as she tours the globe with Fritz.
The US Open will start on Monday
At the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, and she is currently getting camera-ready for it.
Riddle, who was born and raised in Minneapolis, where “it was all about hockey,” acknowledged that until she started dating Fritz in 2020, she had no idea that tennis was “such a big professional sport.” “I definitely didn’t know who Taylor was,” she said
But Morgan Riddle simply swung right when she saw him on the referral-only dating app Raya. “His song was ‘Sunflower’ by Post Malone and Swae Lee and mine was ‘Sunflower’ by Harry Styles,” she remarked.
Due to the pandemic lockdown in early 2020
Their first date was cut short and ended up being a sushi takeout night at Fritz’s Los Angeles residence. She had never even played tennis at that point. We will occasionally hit around, but I don’t think I’m much fun to play with because I’m not very good, she continued.
But after cheering on Fritz at countless matches and competitions over the past two years, she has grown “invested in the game” and has decided to introduce tennis to the entire country of America.
She published a TikTok in February with the caption,
“On a personal mission to make tennis cool again,” and it has since received more than four million likes. Her strategy is to serve up looks while Fritz is on the court hitting backhands, some of which are inspired by Princess Diana, who was well-known for her Wimbledon style.
On the sixth day of Wimbledon last month, Riddle dressed in a white tank top tucked into a pair of white pants and a black Louis Vuitton handbag to recreate one of the late princess’ more laid-back looks.
At matches, Riddle has developed a following as something of a style icon. “Nadal is a legend, but am I the only one that was rooting for Fritz so they would show more shots of Morgan Riddle on the broadcasts?” one person tweeted during Wimbledon.
Riddle described his newfound fame as “weird.” “The attention sort of came at once, but I’m getting used to it.”
She’s also cleverly calculating how this attention will help her influencer career.
“I enjoy sharing my life and content online. I have a natural sense of entrepreneurship, so I can see that evolving into a line of products or a company,” said Morgan Riddle, who earned an English literature degree from Wagner College in 2019. “I’m optimistic about the future, but I’m not exactly sure what that is yet.”
She also noted that although her life appeared glamorous, she and Fritz were not indulging in a beachside vacation.
“Although it might seem like we spend all of our time traveling, we have only taken maybe two vacations as a couple. We do travel frequently, but it’s all for work, said . Tennis players and WAGs (wives and girlfriends) travel all over the world, including Paris and Dubai, unlike basketball or football, which mostly require domestic travel. Paris is probably my favorite travel destination, said Morgan Riddle.
When Fritz is rehearsing, she rushes out onto the cobblestone streets eager to explore, occasionally with the partners of other players. Ivana Nedved, the partner of American tennis player Sebastian Korda, and I visited the Louvre together during the most recent French Open, claimed Riddle. An avid art fan, she tries to visit a city’s most famous museum while there
Riddle intends to stay at her preferred hotel, The Standard, High Line, for the US Open.
“I would begin my perfect day in New York at H+H Bagels on the Upper East Side. I’d spend the day at the Met after that, she said, by walking there. I would get one of Glowbar’s 30-minute facials if I had the time.
Her preferred pastime whenever she travels is “just to walk around. The best way to thoroughly explore and get to know a city is to do that, according to Riddle.

She is, however, intensely focused during matches. After all, she wants to popularize tennis.
She continued, “I think I’m doing that by introducing it to new audiences. “Since I began posting about life on tour, I have received numerous messages from people saying that this is a side of the tour they have never seen or that they were not interested in tennis until ‘I started paying attention to your content.'”She is upbeat about Fritz winning when it comes to that.
“If you don’t win the tournament in tennis, you lose every week. According to Riddle, every player on the tour is losing each week with the exception of one who goes on to win the entire competition. “I try to be there for him as best I can. And he likes to talk about it.”
And, in return, Fritz shows up for her too. Riddle remarked, “He sends me flowers almost every week. So I’ll just say that I value his thoughtfulness for being consistent. For me, it’s the little things like him buying me coffee and flowers because he is aware of how much joy they bring me.
