Eligibility criteria for the CUET PG course

  • Age Limit

It is predicted that there will be no age limit for the CUET PG aspirant. However, you need to check your desired university’s portal to check whether they have any specific age limit for the specific course. If you want to be admitted to your desired university, you must fulfil these age limit criteria. 

  • Educational qualifications

If you want to appear CUET PG exam for the year 2023, then you must have a bachelor’s degree in a specific subject or an equivalent degree, irrespective of your age.

Let’s know subject-wise CUET PG eligibility criteria 

  • MA English

If you want to appear for PG in English, then you must require a bachelor’s degree in this subject or one of the major subjects with at least 45% marks (SC/ST/PWD), 50% marks (OBC) and 55% marks (general category).

  • MA Hindi

Do you want to join MA Hindi at your favourite university? You must need a bachelor’s degree in Hindi as an Elective, Optional, or compulsory language with aggregate marks of 45% marks (SC/ST/PWD), 50% marks (OBC) and 55% marks (general category). Suppose a student does not qualify for these eligibility criteria and has a non-Hindi bachelor’s degree. In that case, he/she needs to submit the equivalence certificate from the state or central government at the time of admission. 

  • MA in Classical Tamil studies

The student must have a bachelor’s degree in Tamil as one of the subjects or as a major subject with 45% marks (SC/ST/PWD), 50% marks (OBC) and 55% marks (general category). In this subject, the admitted student may be provided with a book grant and scholarship by CICT. 

  • MA History

Any graduated student from a recognized University can appear for CUET PG in History with a minimum of 45% marks (SC/ST/PWD), 50% marks (OBC) and 55% marks (general). 

  • MSC in microbiology

The student requires to have a bachelor’s degree in Human Genetics, Microbiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Biochemistry, Plant protection, Agriculture and Horticulture, Fisheries and Public Health, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Dairy Sciences, and Home Science from a recognized university to appear in CUET PG exam.

  • MSW in social work

Any graduated student from a recognized University is eligible to appear in the CUET PG exam with 45% marks (SC/ST/PWD), 50% marks (OBC) and 55% marks (general).

  • M.Sc. Geography

A student must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science with Geography subject as the ancillary or main subject from a Foreign University or recognized Indian University with 45% marks (SC/ST/PWD), 50% marks (OBC) and 55% marks (general) to be eligible to join MSC in Geography. 

  • Other PG subjects

Other PG subjects like Geology, Wildlife Science, Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemistry, Statistics and Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Horticulture, Epidemiology, Public Health etc., have specific eligibility criteria.
